Ombre Update

Recently I refreshed my ombre' with a blonde-er shade added to the ends. The last time I did anything to it was in July so it was definitely time for a little update! After a while blonde hair starts to loose its white shade and turn orange-y, as seen in the photo below. So unless you are a natural blonde, it is best to refresh the color every 4-6 months. Depending on how healthy your hair is.My ombre' look consists of 4 different shades of color to gives a complete gradiation.

Instagram Round-Up! -August

August was an absolutely crazy month for me! I went to Singapore for a family wedding (20 hour flight to only be there for 1 week), then flew directly into Las Vegas for work! It was insane! The wedding was beautiful and so was the bride! I really wanted to share some photos I posted with you guys so you could get a glimpse into a real indian wedding (It was also my first experience, and I was actually one of the bridesmaids). And also to see what i have been up to since I didn't have much time to post. Here's a little photo re-cap of my month via my Instagram page!
P.S. My ombre is still holding up pretty good, and I am liking my side bangs a lot more now that they have grown out a bit!

Trend | Ombre' Update

Cut 6 inches off my hair, refreshed my ombre' with more length of blonde (she used 4 colors total: 2 brown, 2 blonde), and for the first time in my life i got bangs! They aren't too drastic, pretty light side bangs but they definitely take a lot of getting use to! I have to run a straightener over them daily to get the to fall to the side. Ever since i first did the ombre' ive felt more open to experimenting with my hair!
Tip: I learned the hard way how dead your hair can become after bleaching if you do not take extra care of it. Now I am making sure to do a coconut keratin hair mask every time I wash. The difference in my texture is obvious right away!

My Ombre' Hair

So i finally lost my hair dying virginity and went ombre! And i love it. For those that are afraid of a full commitment, this is a great way to ease into becoming more experimental with your hair. I started by choosing my favorite picture of someone with ombre'hair that i love. (Check the feature i did on my favs here) At the salon i chose 3 colors to gradually fade down into blonde. Since my hair is really dark, almost black i went to a chocolate-y brown, to light brown, to blonde and my stylist added an even blonder blonde color to the very tips. So it is a complete ombre look. I have to say though that if you are planning to do this, make sure you go to a stylist with experience blending colors. If it does not blend well you totally loose the gradual fade.
I was really nervous but so excited about the results!
What do you think???

tip: this style looks its best when curled with a barrel iron!
